About Us - Who We Are

The Central Scotland Off Roaders (CSOR) was established in 2004 by a bunch of friends who had a common interest – Off road bashing and racing of radio controlled cars. Since its humble beginnings at the BMX track in Condorrat we moved to a great circuit in Limekilnburn, sadly now closed. However, this gave us the opportunity to move to our new home at the excellent Kypeside Country Capers. As well as our track, Kypeside offers quad biking, fishing, clay pigeon shooting and an air rifle range. There is ample parking and a generous sized clubhouse that offers refreshments and toilets.
The majority of member’s run 1/8th scale nitro buggies, truggies and monster trucks. However, if you have any other scale or electric models you’re more than welcome to come along and have a go.
The track is open every Sunday from 9am onwards and spectators and visitors are always welcome. Our regular club meetings are a great way to make the jump from park basher to competitive racer. If you are new to the sport and RC in general, or are interested in getting involved, but want to know more about the hardware then we have many experienced members who are happy to lend a hand and give advice.
We run a competitive Summer and Winter Championship where you can pit your skills against others and earn points to find out who the champion racer is. These usually run once a month and on other weekends we get together and thrash our cars to within an inch of their lives! The aim being to have some good natured fun.
