From time to time (or more often if you can be bothered) fully discharge your receiver/transmitter packs before giving them a nice charge to bring them back up to capacity.
To discharge use the function on may chargers or you cn get one from your hobby shop for a few pounds.
discarge to 0.9volts per cell ie 5.4 for a 6 cell pack
Fast charging is better for performance of nihm cells on a decent charger available from a number of decent manufacturers , make sure the charger is mimh compatible
iI would reccomend the following for cells:
1100-1300mah rx and mini truck packs 1-1.5 amps .10mv peak cut off
Generic sport packss that come in rotostarts and budget rc electric 4 amps with a 50mv cut off
3300's and 3700's race packs 4.5 to 6 amps with no more than a 30mv cut off
if you plan on storing your packs for more than a week then charge them to approx 40% full and store
Don't be tempted to discharge your Rx battery by leaving the car switched on. This will probably lead to a damaged servo, especially if you have a failsafe!
