Threadlock

Threadlock is an essential part of any vibrating metal to metal joint and there are more than a few of these on an rc car. There is a lot of mis-information around with many people saying threadlocked screws and bolts cannot be unfastened - not strictly true!

Threadlock comes in three main groups -
General use threadlock - Usually blue - Can be used on most fastenings and will stop screws backing out with vibration. Can be easily removed if required.

Heavy duty threadlock - usually red - Used on fastening that you never really want to remove. Very strong and difficult to remove without heat and a lot of force.

Studlock - Usually green - Super duper locker intended for studs and bolts that will never be removed generally is heat resistant and sets rock hard. I dont really advise you to use this on any fastening on an rc car since even small problems may need a full stripdown of one part or another.
